Thereby you get bushes or drafts up to the quadruple of the original material thickness in diameters of ca. 1,8mm up to 32mm. Flow hole moulding is a combination of axial force and a relatively high speed so that local warmth arises by friction. Frictio- nal heat and high loading pressure plasticize the material and make it possible that the centerdrill interfuses the material in a matter of seconds. Which centerdrill for which insert? The centerdrill types short and long are part of the basic versions. They only differ in the length of the cylindric part. The angle of the tapered part is identical. During insert of these versions the material that moves towards the feed direction stands as collar on the surface of the workpart. Both types do also exist in the version flat with cutters that are ground in the coil which remove in the same operation the collar that arises during the flow hole moulding process. Thereby you get a flat surface. type “short” and “long” surface with collar type “short-flat” / “long-flat” flat surface standard thread core hole mm flow hole forms thread forms rotation speed min-1 turning moment Nm KW / performance rotation speed min-1 turning moment Nm M 3 2,7 3.000 2,5 0,7 1.500 1,3 M 4 3,7 2.600 3 0,8 1.100 3 M 5 4,5 2.500 4 0,9 900 4,9 M 6 5,4 2.400 5 1,1 800 9,3 M 8 7,3 2.100 7 1,5 600 19 M 10 9,2 1.800 10 1,7 380 39 M 12 10,9 1.500 14 1,9 300 50 M 14 13 1.500 16 2,2 300 55 M 16 14,8 1.400 19 2,5 200 57 M 20 18,7 1.200 29 3 160 105 NEW Further core hole sizes for different thread types are availa- ble!
